Palm Sunday: The Power of Life

Palm Sunday will be a very full Sunday as we complete the last of the 12 powers, Life, and embrace Palm Sunday, the kick off to Holy Week. Holy Week affects each of us differently, depending on your childhood religion and how well you embrace metaphysics. I remember as a child seeing the movie Ben Hur as a class trip. The image of Jesus being nailed to the cross will forever be etched in my brain. My fifth grade mind could only comprehend that Jesus died for me – I caused this. Guilt immediately followed and it was hard to…

This Week’s Power: Wisdom

We continue the series on the Twelve Powers of Man. This week’s power is Wisdom. Judgment was the original name for this power as assigned by Charles Fillmore. It was changed because of the confusion over the word judgment having a negative connotation. We use judgment in our lives on a daily basis.  Fillmore says: Judgment is the mental act of evaluation through comparison or contrast. Do I want to wear the green sweater or the blue one? Is this job right for me? Do I really not want to go or am I making excuses? We will examine the…
