The first Sunday of each month has been designated as First Sunday Food Drive to help benefit the Westside Concerned Citizens Coalition’s food boxes on Anderson’s west side. Volunteer groups that help fill these boxes are the PB&J Patrol and A Gathering of Queens/765 Food Desert Project. Each month one of these groups will be given the food we collect.
Please bring a non-perishable item to donate. Needed items include canned fruits and vegetables, cereal, and protein foods including peanut butter, tuna, canned pasta, and beef stews.
Crates will be set up in the Fellowship Hall for donations. If you miss out on donating on the first Sunday of the month, don’t worry. We will accept donations throughout the month. See Linda Long or Sheryl Myers and we will be sure to get your item included into our donations.
