Event Series: Sacred Circles

Sacred Circles

October 14 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Wednesdays, 6:30-8 p.m.

We have all witnessed a “culture of disconnect” and at every level of life. From individual (electronic addiction) to marital (phones replace intimacy) to family (living apart and sometimes thousands of miles away) to cultural and political life, where tribalism has replaced connection and civility.

Each week our beloved pastor reminds us of the power of connection, and here at Unity we create opportunities for connection to breathe and grow.

Sacred Circles began at Unity in 2021, and we experienced new ways to connect, to learn and to teach each other the highest of human principles. Several attendees came from outside our church, and this has been an added blessing to our “beloved community.”

Sacred Circles meets Wednesdays from 6:30-8 p.m. Note these times accommodate those who might want to join after attending the ACIM Class offered each Wednesday from 5-6 p.m.

Sacred Circles uses the methods of “The Circle Way” as a way for each participant to choose at what level to participate. Leadership changes at each meeting. Three “rounds” occur in each meeting, and participants are encouraged to bring an object, a poem, a reading or an article that symbolises something significant to them to share with the circle. A symbolic sacred “cloth” creates the centre of the Circle and holds conversations, objects and stories in a sacred way.

Come join us. You need not attend every Wednesday and this is an open-ended group, meaning anyone can join at any time.

Facilitated by Rick and Linda Long.
